Monday, June 23rd, 2042: There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask W. H. Auden, the Gainesville second baseman, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the Iris Player of the Week honors.
Auden piled up 11 hits in 22 at-bats, 1 home run and 7 RBIs while hitting .500.
This season-to-date Auden has 2 home runs and a .352 batting average. |

Monday, June 23rd, 2042: Randy Baker is respected by most Santa Fe Wildcats fans for his no-frills style of play. The 28-year-old left fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Alfaro Player of the Week honors.
He compiled a .480 average (12-25) with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
So far this season Baker has 1 home run and a .326 batting average. |
 | Atmans Chill Garcia+'s Hot Streak
Saturday, June 21st, 2042: It was the best of both worlds for the Wichita Atmans today at Push Ballpark as they defeated the Bahia Blanca Ghastly Monsters 7-6 and also ended Coty Garcia+'s 21-game hitting streak. The 20-year-old Bahia Blanca right fielder failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats.
"Nothing personal against Coty, we just wanted to win the game," said the victorious Atmans skipper. "We did a great job keeping him off balance and guessing."
When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Garcia+ frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about my streak ending, but I would feel much better about things if we had won the game."
Garcia+ is hitting at a .322 mark this season. His stats show 8 home runs, 60 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has played 65 games for the Ghastly Monsters. |
